Worth County Community Foundation Grant Application Now Available

July 1, 2021 – Grant applications can now be submitted to the Worth County Community Foundation’s 2021 grant cycle. The online grant application may be found on the Community Foundation’s website at www.worthccf.org. The deadline to submit applications is 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 2021.
Grants are awarded to projects in the following areas: arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health, and human service. Grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) designated organization or a government entity serving Worth County in order to be considered for funding. First-time grant applicants should contact Dotti Thompson, program manager for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, at (319) 243-1358 prior to submitting an application. Grant recipients will be announced in January 2022.
In 2020, a total of $87,227.10 in grants were awarded to 17 area nonprofits and government agency projects serving Worth County. Since 2017, the Worth County Community Foundation, through the generosity of the Jaspers family, has awarded $174,046 in grants benefitting Worth County residents and communities.
The establishment of the Worth County Community Foundation was made possible by the Jaspers Family through the establishment of the Jaspers Family Foundation Fund. Maynard and Marjory Jaspers were long-time successful business owners in Worth County. They had three sons with no heirs. At his death, Donald Jaspers donated the proceeds from combined estates of the Jaspers Family to provide charitable support for Worth County.
