Incentives are Available in Winnebago and Worth Counties

Businesses who are looking for financial incentives to make a project viable, should contact Winn-Worth Betco. Our region offers a large number of incentives, some of which many businesses have never heard of. The State of Iowa, Winnebago and Worth Counties, and all communities therein offer multiple incentives for business development.  These may include access to the Winn-Worth Betco Revolving Loan Fund or tax breaks. Within our counties there are Opportunity Zones as well, creating additional opportunities for tax savings.

Winn-Worth Betco Revolving Loan Fund 

The Rural Business Enterprise Grant helps to retain and create new jobs in Winnebago and Worth counties by assisting small businesses in start-up or expansions. Applicants must provide a 50% match for the amount requested and the project must physically be located within the counties. Funds can be used for things like the acquisition and development of land, purchase of equipment, startup operating costs and working capital. Click here to learn more.

North Iowa Area Council of Governments Revolving Loan Fund

The North Iowa Area Council of Governments Revolving Loan Fund (NIACOG) is a public financing tool to assist businesses in the region. The RLF provides direct low-interest loans to eligible businesses. Click here for more information.

Heartland Power Cooperative Incentives

Heartland Power Cooperative provides low cost energy for businesses and families within the region. They also support economic development by providing low interest rate loans. Click here to learn more.

Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation

In an effort to promote and encourage economic development within the city limits of Lake Mills and up to one mile outside the Lake Mills city limits, the Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation has established a revolving loan fund to provide financial assistance for small and emerging private business enterprises. Loans are for up to 10 years and range from $5,000 to $50,000. Click here to learn more.

City of Lake Mills has established a revolving loan fund to provide financial assistance to new and expanding businesses.
