Visit the Waldorf University and Forest City Area Spring Career and Internship Fair this Wednesday

Searching for a job? Look no further. The Waldorf University and Forest City Area Spring Career and Internship Fair is this Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 1-4 p.m. in the Civic Auditorium in Forest City.

“We need to grow our workforce,” said Beth Bilyeu, executive director of Forest City Economic Development. “We have people moving in, moving out and staying for a long time, so anything we can do to help our younger and existing workforce get not only new jobs but jobs that help them stay here is great.”

Attendees will have the chance to talk to roughly two dozen area employers about their job openings and internship opportunities. The businesses were carefully selected to showcase the endless opportunities in Forest City and surrounding areas, despite its small population.

Visitors will have the chance to win a variety of door prizes, including, but not limited to, Forest City chamber bucks and a 40” smart TV.

“We hope that people will gain an understanding of what businesses are in the area, what types of jobs they could get and who is offering internships,” said Bilyeu.
