Buffalo Center.

Buffalo Center was named after Buffalo Creek and platted in 1892 along with a railroad in the same year. Home to the first consolidated school west of the  Mississippi, this allowed rural schools to send their children to town for school - in 1896. Former businesses include a railroad depot, meat market, flour mill, clay tile factory and fiberglass company.
